Oktatás célja
To familiarise participants with the relevant national and international legal environment in the field of special needs education, the basis for the use of rights, the regulations of the mandatory internal documents of institutions, and the autonomous decision-making powers of institutions. It will be presented: (1) the structure of the rights of children, pupils, and the (special needs) teacher, (2) the issue of the general right of the pupil to “learning appropriate to him/her”, (3) the public education rights of children, pupils entitled to special treatment, and the obligations of the (special needs) teacher in their enforcement, (4) the domestic institutional system of complex assistance to persons with disabilities, broken down by life stages (interpretation of concepts, legal background, and the role of the health care, public education, social care, child protection systems, and inter-sectoral co-operation among the above fields), and (5) the life course of the individual, its process, and milestones.

The course will provide a detailed introduction to the following professional content, as well as to the basic and defining concepts related to the subject and the relevant legislation in force: Distinguishing between law and non-law, basic concepts of law, the basis for users of law, understanding law Structure of the rights of children and pupils and the rights of the (special needs) teacher Issues of the general right of pupils to “appropriate learning” The rights of children and pupils entitled to special educational needs and the obligations of the (special needs) teacher in enforcing these rights The domestic institutional system of complex assistance for people with disabilities, broken down by life stage, in terms of: interpretation of concepts, legislative background (health, public education, social care, child protection, and inter-sectoral co-operation in the above fields) Life path of a person with disabilities, its process and milestones, possible client pathways.
