Learning outcomes
The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical foundations and practical applications of pain management. Through an exploration of current theories and advances in pain research, students will gain a solid foundation in the multidimensional nature of pain and its management. This course will equip students with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to support individuals experiencing acute and chronic pain. Learning objective: Students undertaking the course will gain knowledge about the current theories of pain and advances in pain research understand the fundamental models underlying pain care will be able to conduct a first interview related to pain will be able to deliver basic low intensity interventions of pain gain insight into currently applied currently applied psychosocial interventions of pain

Assessment method
Learning requirements, mode of evaluation and criteria of evaluation: Course requirements Written exam Presentation of the results of a first interview conducted with a person with chronic pain Course attendance (no more than 3 absences) Course grade 50% of the course grade will come from the written exam. 50% of the course grade will come from peer evaluation of the interview-presentation based on pre-specified criteria.
