- The goal of the course is to provide foreign students an overview of some specific features and innovations of early childhood and elementary school pedagogy in Hungary. In addition to the theoretical foundations, students also acquire practical knowledge that might be adapted in other educational systems. Students are to be familiar with the main parts and structure of the Hungarian education system, they gain insight into the operation of some types of educational institutions, through their local specifics. They will learn new theories and practical methods, and to interpret individually and discuss in group. The course is organized with the involvement of lecturers from several departments, each of them being an expert in the target educational field. The course work involves guided discussions, creative practical activities, group project work, thematic presentations, visits to institutions.
- Learning outcomes

- Course content
- Development of artistic and creative skills. Foreign language development and nationality education. Development of mathematical skills. Institutions of early childhood education. Inclusion. Physical development. Traditional and alternative pedagogies. Students will be familiar with the main parts and structure of the Hungarian education system, gain insight into the operation of some types of educational institutions, through their local specifics, know different areas of pedagogical development and some effective methods for them, expand their knowledge of English with pedagogical terminology.
