- Understands the structural characteristics of natural and synthetic macromolecules and their physical and chemical features. Recognizes the fundamentals of modern polymer synthetic methods. Describe the solid and solution phase properties of polymers.
- Course content
- The course gives a general introduction to polymers. It focuses on the fundamentals of modern synthetic methods and on the description and physical interpretaion of their properties. Solid state polymers: crystalline and amorphous polymers, thermodynamics, phase transitions and mechanical properties. Polymers in solution: thermodynamics, phase equilibria.

- Exam and evalution of homeworks.
