- Learning outcomes
- Introduction to the most important methods and research directions in experimental particle physics. a) Knowledge: He / she knows the experimental tools, measurement techniques and analysis methods of particle physics, he / she is aware of their development directions and limitations. He / she understands the contexts of the research area, knows its main open questions and the steps taken to solve them. b) Abilities: Able to engage in the diverse work of experimental particle and nuclear physics research groups: design of experiments, development and implementation of measurement systems, evaluation and interpretation of collected data. He is aware of the applicability of the acquired knowledge in other areas (e.g. in industrial research and development). c) Attitude: He / she seeks to learn about the new results and methods of modern particle physics and to apply them as widely as possible. He is aware of the collaborative nature of research work. He approaches problems creatively, methodically and practically, with a strong emphasis on data collection and interpretation. d) Autonomy and responsibility: With his / her experimental physics knowledge, critical thinking and systemic mindset, he / she carries out activities and collaborates with professionals in the field as well as in other disciplines responsibly.
