Oktatás célja
These seminars are designed to provide the students with an overview of how Modernist aspirations in prose writing took shape in the social, cultural and literary contexts of the first three decades of the twentieth century, through studying selected novels, short stories and essays written in English on the British Isles, as well as relying on some carefully selected specimens of secondary written and visual sources. A supplementary objective of the course is to further develop the students’ intelligent and appreciative reading habits as well as their subject-relevant language competences in English.
