- The aim of this course is to introduce students to E. M. Forster’s novels within the context of the modernist debate about the possible future(s) of the English novel.
- Tantárgy tartalma
- We will be discussing theoretical works written by E. M. Forster, Virginia Woolf, D. H. Lawrence, and H. G. Wells, as well as analysing Forster’s novels within the colonial-postcolonial historical context. Set texts include Aspects of the Novel and Where Angels Fear to Tread, Howards End, and A Passage to India.
- Számonkérés és értékelés
- A student’s final mark is based on her/his work during the seminar series and on the mark s/he receives for her/his end-of-term in-class essay.
