The special seminar offers a complex (hermeneutical, phenomenological, dramaturgical) reading of a representative set of plays by the major dramatists of the theatre of the absurd from Beckett to McDonagh.
Course content
Selected plays of S. Beckett, H. Pinter, T. Stoppard, E. Albee and M. McDonagh
Assessment method
Regular attendance and preparation; close readings of the chosen texts; conscious, conscientious and active participation in class work; individual and shared tasks in terms of presentations, in-class paper (test + essay) at the end of the term. End-term grade based on the performance of the tasks mentioned above.
