Offering information and knowledge of deafblindness for Erasmus students Learning outcomes and competences: Knowledge: Students get knowledge of deafblind individuals, children, adults and elderly people, their demographics; became informed of international organizations and institutions and the work these do for deafblind individuals. Priority is on communication, assessment, methods and instruments. Skills: Students became able to identifying deafblind individuals, recognizing their problems and orientate them to relevant services. Attitude: Based on their knowledge they develop a positive attitude towards deafblind individuals and their problem solutions Autonomy and responsibility: They can responsibly apply their knowledge

Main content and topics: General introduction: definitions, population description, international network of organization Assessment of communication, and intervention methods and instruments (tactile sign language Alphabetical methods (Braille on hand, print on the palm, LORM, dactyl, phonomimics) etc. Apps for Communication for deafblind people Special devices for deafblind person (hearing aids, optical devices, communication devices Further methods tailored to deafblind individuals Practical tasks
Assessment method
Practical and written assignment. Evaluation on a 5 point scale (1-5).
