Learning outcomes
The course helps students to prepare for teaching at a bilingual primary school by providing the the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct Visual Arts and Music classes in English.  During the course students familiarise themselves with the teaching methodology necessary for CLIL learning and practise the use of teaching materials and techniques through micro teaching in the classroom. They will learn the basic terminology and will improve their general language competence. They continue developing their own professional theories by understanding the aims of Art education, and by reflecting on the observed activities.
Course content
The content and objectives of music and visual arts education. Personality in music and arts. Learning/revising and playing English songs and rhymes, discussing their benefits in teaching. Nursery rhyme/song "profile": creating a mind map. Teaching a song. Music games/art activity profiles. Terminology of music. Planning to teach art activities to children.
Assessment method
1. To participate actively in classes, this means completing the tasks given by the tutor every week. 2. To give a presentation on a topic given by the tutor + write a glossary. 3. To create and present a lesson plan in visual arts and a set of music activities.
