Oktatás célja
Digital storytelling can take many forms that result in exciting and effective ways to engage learners and has proved to be a powerful educational tool that can be used in multiple educational contexts. This course aims to provide students with an understanding of how to incorporate technology-enabled narrative as an effective tool to support teaching and stimulate learning. Students will learn about the components of stories and the storytelling process, and will gain practical experience in creating such stories using different media. Forming a community, students will also interact and share ideas related to the critical analysis of narrative and narrative-embedded media.

Major topics: 1. Basics of digital storytelling 2. Scriptwriting, storyboarding 3. Photos, images, Creative Commons 4. Recording audio narration 5. Creating a digital story (text, images, narration) 6. Developing a learning plan 7. Presentation, discussion, evaluation

Requirements: • Creating a digital story (60%) o Active participation in co-creation: 10% o Text (relevance, coherence): 10% o Narration: 10% o Images: 10% o Sources, CC: 10% o Coherence of narration and images: 10% • Designing a digital storytelling unit (40%) o Teacher and student activities: 20% o Achievements: 10% o Assessment: 10% Total obtainable points: 100 Course grades: 5 (100-90%), 4 (90-80%), 3 (80-70%), 2 (70-50%), 1 (below 50%).
