Learning outcomes

Aim of the course: To increase the knowledge and skills of students in interdisciplinary areas of Clinical Psychology and Film Art To support Psychology BA students who intend to approach their studies from interdisciplinary angles as well and know more about clinical aspects pf psychology before deciding on MA specialization. To support all other students who wish to have live experience of the presence of themes of Clinical Psychology in Contemporary Art. Learning outcome, competences knowledge: Knowledge on mental problems and issues Knowledge on the presence of the theme of mental problems and issues in Film Knowledge on the history of Cinematography attitude: Ability to explain and discuss personal views in teaching groups Ability to listen, professionally accept or object the views of others’ interpretations skills: Ability to apply knowledge and experience of watching films in Psychology Ability to practice interdisciplinary approach to areas of Science and Art

Course content

Topics of the course Biweekly 4 teaching hour classes, each focusing on a relevant film with the topic of a mental problem or issue of psychological development Learning activities, learning methods Group film watching Joint discussion of films Essay writing on the topic of films and mental issues

Learning requirements, mode of evaluation, criteria of evaluation: requirements Attendance of the classes Active involvement in the discussions at the classes Writing essay on the topic of films and mental disorders mode of evaluation Grades 1 to 5 in Neptun criteria of evaluation Attandence Activity Quality of written essay
