Oktatás célja
Philosophy: The goal of the course is to give students an overview of the most fundamental philosophical issues and modern Western philosophical traditions which deeply influenced and still influences scientific psychology. Psychology: The goal of the course is to give a comprehensive overview about the most important traditions and key theoreticians in the development of modern scientific psychology. Learning outcome, competences knowledge: Emphasis is intended to be on three core issues: (1) logic and potentials of science (2) concepts of mind and consciousness (3) knowledge and the role of language. skills: Philosophy: the course is aimed at strengthening students’ intellectual sensitivity to abstract conceptual issues and to conceptual analysis central to psychological thinking. Psychology: the course is aimed at strengthening students’ understanding of the central and fundamental concepts and dilemmas of modern psychology, as well as their expertise in critical conceptual analysis in the field of psychological theorising

Philosophy: Emphasis is intended to be on three core issues: (1) logic and potentials of science, (2) concepts of mind and consciousness, (3) knowledge and the role of language. Psychology: The emphasis will be on the traditions and philosophical ideas leading directly to the formation of modern psychology; on those issues which explain the deep divisions within contemporary psychology; and on those theoretical - conceptual turning points that lead to nfluential theoretical shifts within modern psychology. Learning requirements, mode of evaluation, criteria of evaluation: Requirements Written test which surveys the student’s knowledge about the main concepts, names and connections, in the form of multiple-choice questions and short essays.
