- Aim of the course Aim of the course: The aim of the course is to provide the basic practical knowledge necessary for conducting research in the field of developmental psychology. Through the acquisition of the course materials, students become able to apply relevant concepts from developmental science and its methodology, furthermore, they gain experience with planning and presenting research plans. Also, through taking this practical course, they become able to understand and critically analyse scientific articles from the field of developmental psychology. Learning outcome, competences knowledge: adequately understand and apply basic concepts of research methodology, with a focus on developmental science knowledge about frequently used research methods from developmental psychology attitude: an understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of frequently used research methods from developmental psychology acquiring an adequate research attitude when it comes to conducting research with sensitive groups (infants, children) skills: adequately selecting research and data collection methods creating and presenting research plans critical analysis of scientific papers

- Evaluation of outcomes Learning requirements, mode of evaluation, criteria of evaluation: requirements critical review of a scientific article (group project) planning a novel research on the field of developmental psychology (group project) minterm exam (individual project) brief tasks during the Semester (individual / group project) a maximum of 3 absences during the Semester mode of evaluation: critical evaluation of a scientific paper - group presentation research plan - paper submitted by group written exam - individual task activity during the Semester and brief tasks 5 grade scale
