Course content
The aim of the course is to introduce and discuss the advanced topics of plant-microbe interactions in an integrative manner. Main topics of the course: Plant holobiont as a conceptual framework. Plant microbiome. Main types of plant-microbe interactions. Pathogenic-mutualism. Plant viruses. Plant-bacterial interactions. Plant pathogenic fungi. Endophytes. Mycorrhizae: arbuscular mycorrhizae, ectomycorrhizae, other mycorrhizal types. Applied aspects. Evolution, ecological importance.
Assessment method
k5 = exam mark (5) (1 failed, 5 excellent) During the exam period exam from the materials of the lecture and compulsory literature and one short project plan written by the students. Evaluation of the oral exam (from two topics of the course) and the project plant give the mark.
